BrushWork - The Many Agency
Right off the bat…the location of this session was incredible. Their office was right on the PCH and the views of the ocean were so inspirational and colorful. All future spaces will now be compared to this!
This was one of their in-office events where employees from around the country are invited for a day of activities. In the morning employees could choose between hiking, deep sea fishing, and painting with me. Since it is summer and there was some vibe of summer camp I chose a theme of “summer nostalgia”.
With a theme like that I knew the session had to be light, fun, and cheerful. That is a super important aspect to my business. Understanding what the client is looking for from a vibe perspective. In this case the emphasis was on fun!
To get them thinking about what the prompt means and feels I used our senses as the prompts. “Paint a smell you associate”, “Paint a sound”, etc. Upon walking around and seeing what people were painting I had a very enlightened moment. And it addresses a theme throughout all my sessions…artistic freedom. I am a facilitator and guide. I will set the scene, prep your mini studio and introduce themes/prompts; but it is up to you to decide on your own creative journey.
Some followed the prompts and others just painted. And I loved that. It really showed to me the benefit of creativity. Sometimes people just want the ability make colors and paint however they feel. I am providing the invitation and encouragement but whatever you want to unlock is up to you!
There was so much laughter and joy in the room! Everyone slowly walking around and looking at other canvasses, asking questions, and trying to decipher what was painted.
I had a really wonderful time with The Many Agency and I feel so grateful for this experience!
