BrushLive - FamilyKind

When I learned about the opportunity to host a BrushLive at the FamilyKind annual gala I was over the moon. Having the chance to support an amazing organization that does so much for the NYC community is exactly why I started this business.

For their gala I brought a canvas with a black base and made the 3 colors of their logo…green, blue and purple. The combination of which on black looks incredible. Like all other BrushLive events it took a few moments for people to realize that they could add to the canvas but upon learning it they added so many designs, patters, and brushstrokes that the final canvas turned into an abstract dream!

One interesting observation I had was seeing the heart shape become a consistent choice for anyone who was overwhelmed. Whether it was the loving environment in the room and their own connection to the shape it really stuck out to me. As the night progressed and more was added it was beautiful to watch how the heart shapes morphed and were added to over time.

That is the beauty of BrushLive canvasses. It is not about the individual designs but the collective array once its complete.

So much laughter, so many smiles and most exciting it was purchased as part of the auction by a local real estate agent. I am so excited to bring this to his office next week!
